Lukas GUTBRUNNER
Biografie
I studied Mathematics at the University of Innsbruck, where I finished my master’s degree in 2022. My master’s thesis treated the use of wavelets to solve inverse problems with a focus on the Radon transform. Specifically, I worked on an analog concept of a multiresolution analysis in the range of the Radon transform that is adapted to the wavelet-vaguelette decomposition.
In 2022 I started my PhD at VUB, researching the problem of fair and explainable AI. To extend the knowledge in this domain, I am using a combination of statistical and geometric tools to deduct theoretical results that can then be put into code.
My research interests are theoretical machine learning, approximation theory and computational geometry.
