Kenny DE COMMER
Biography
I received my PhD in Mathematics in May 2009 at KU Leuven, as an FWO aspirant, with the thesis `Galois coactions for algebraic and locally compact quantum groups' (advisor A. Van Daele). I had a postdoctoral position in the period 2009-2011, under the ERC-advanded grant supported guidance of Roberto Longo at the Università di Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy. From 2011-2013, I was maître de conférences at the Université de Cergy-Pontoise (now CY-Tech), France. From 2014-2019, I was appointed tenure track research professor (ZAP-BOF) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where as of February 2019 I have been associate professor.
Onderwijs
Onderzoek
My broad interests are in representation theory in the analytic setting, and more particularly its connections to operator algebras, quantum groups and category theory.
