The Department of Mathematics & Data Science (WIDS) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) hosts the bachelor and master degrees in Mathematics & Data Science (in Dutch), as well as the large research group Mathematics & Data Science (MADS).

The department is part of the Steunpunt Centrale Toetsen in Onderwijs, which focuses on student testing in mathematics and Dutch in the context of educational development. The mathematics test bench for primary and secondary education are developed under supervision of Prof. Ann Dooms and Ria Van Huffel.
